Podiatrist in Tauranga

Tauranga Clinic

For people suffering from foot pain in the Bay of Plenty, come see our podiatrists at the Tauranga Clinic located on Cameron Road between 9th and 10th Ave. We offer natural solutions to heal aches and pains including bunions, hammer toes, painful joints, sore knees and any other foot problems or lower limb concerns.

Advanced hands on treatment

Our podiatry experts in Tauranga take a holistic approach to foot health, offering painless and effective treatment to get you walking and running in comfort. Using a highly skilled, hands-on technique called Foot Mobilisation Therapy (FMT), we gently encourage your feet through their natural range of motion.

FMT treats the underlying cause of pain, which means our Tauranga foot specialists can help you heal without orthotics or surgery. We also offer sports podiatry, using FMT for sports-related aches, strains and injuries, strengthening the lower half of your body and improving performance.

Shaun McCann - BHSc. (Podiatry)
Structural podiatrist

The Tauranga Clinic is run by Corrective Foot Solutions founder Shaun McCann and fellow podiatrist Sean Condon, both registered with the New Zealand Podiatry board and holding current Annual Practicing Certificates.

Frustrated by the confines of traditional podiatry for many years, Shaun sought out a more effective treatment style. He undertook postgraduate studies in Sydney where he trained under world leaders in FMT and witnessed its effectiveness both on patients and himself. He opened Tauranga’s Corrective Foot Solutions in 2017 to bring FMT to his local community.

Sean Condon - Bsc (Hons) Podiatry

Seán graduated as a podiatrist from the national University of Ireland Galway in 2017. While completing his undergraduate degree Sean had a chance to see Foot Mobilisation Therapy in action during a placement and the reviews from the patients is something that always stuck with him.Sean worked as a musculoskeletal podiatrist and orthotics would have been a big part of treatment. I found that some patients can get good results from orthotics but there are a number of drawbacks including being totally dependent on the devices and the range of shoes that they can fit in is vastly  reduced . FMT offers a more effective treatment plan and under the tutelage of Shaun McCann who has been mentored by some of the leading lights in the Fmt world, I'm starting to see the many benefits for  patients using Fmt over orthotic therapy. Seán is fully registered with the New Zealand podiatry board and holds a current Annual practicing certificate.
